Proceedings; defendant notices of certain proceedings and pleadings when such defendant failed to file pleadings; provide

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Articles 2 and 7 of Chapter 11 of Title 9 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to commencement of action and service and default judgment, respectively, so as to provide for defendant notices of certain proceedings and pleadings when such defendant failed to file pleadings; to clarify defendant's right to appear and introduce evidence of damages in certain default judgment actions; to provide for related matters; to provide for an effective date and applicability; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
